Pledge to end the R-Word.  Retarded.  It gets thrown around so easily to describe things that are dumb, stupid,  ignorant, .... 
Originally it was to describe people who are different, special, and unique.  People who needed some extra help but also who give so much more.  I pledge to not use the R-word and stop the stigma that surrounds it.  I am so proud of all of the special needs people I am blessed to know and their bravery, courage, and simple wisdom inspires me daily.

On-line Auction a SUCCESS!!

The on-line auction was a HUGE success!!  Through the generous donations of amazing items to auction and the amazing bids of wonderful participants we  made over $3700!!  From our family to you and yours we humbly thank you from the bottoms of our hearts.  This money is going to change the lives of our family and help Larry have his number one fan (our mom) in Korea cheering him on.  We are able to support him and not worry about the financial costs to such an expensive endeavour.  This is truly life changing.  Thank you.

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped make this auction in support of Larry's Special Olympic Dream; donors, volunteers, and bidders.  Here is how it works.  Go to this site https://www.facebook.com/groups/AuctionLarrySO/ and make sure to read through the rules and disclaimers.  Scroll through the pictures and comment your bid on anything you want.  You will have from 8:00am on Monday, November 12th until 8:00pm on Saturday, November 17th to bid.  Winners will be contacted with details on payment and pick-up.

You will get Facebook automatic notifications whenever anyone posts or comments on this page so if it is too much please make sure to change your notification settings by clicking on "notifications" on the top right and selecting "off".  If you do this make sure to check in daily on your bids!

We are making a cloth banner to be signed by as many people as possible and sent with mom to put up at the finsih line to cheer on Larry!  Anyone who we see over the course of the online auction,  at family and social gatherings, or at any events Larry will be participating in will have a chance to sign it.  We want to fill it up with all the love of all the people who have made a difference in Larry's life.  Make sure to ask about it!

A warm thank you to our Auntie Carmen and Uncle Darrell from Sieben Cement Contractors who are helping Larry get new clothes for his trip, which is a major self-esteem and confidence building thing!  They are also  helping with Larry and mom's other expenses!  WOW!!

Sieben Cement will be donating some "swag" for our online auction and maybe even some artwork created by my talented Auntie.  Not to mention my Auntie Carmen is going all the way to Korea to support Larry and my mom! 

Your generosity is endless and deeply appreciated.  We are so lucky to have such a loving and caring family.  I see where Larry gets it from!

Donations needed!!

We will be having an online auction in November to support Larry and our mom in their voyage to Korea in January for the Special Olympics World Winter Games.

If you can make a donation to our auction we would greatly appreciate it.  We are looking for:

• Hand crafted items (knitting, quilting, jewelry, etc.)
• Artwork
• Company promotional gear
• Gift certificates/products from your business
• Services (photography, house cleaning, babysitting, aesthetics/hair, handyman, etc.)
• Personal donated items (gift bags/baskets, libations, gifts, toys, etc.)

Please have items donated by November 4th so we can process them and set up the auction.  Email me to donate!  I am hoping to have it run the 2nd or 3rd week of November.  Perfect for Christmas shopping for a good cause!
